NOEL RITTER, HUMAN AND
CANINE MASSAGE. noelritter@comcast.net
Noel does gift certificates TOO!
TINA STAFFORD, MARTINGALE COLLAR AND LEASH SETS.
jrtacres@aol.com Tina has an INFINITE
variety of colors and collar trims for you to choose from. All of her collars
are custom made, so you can choose exactly the right thing for your dog or
someone else's. She can match any doggie personality from dainty, frilly
femininity to the rough and ready, sports dog. Leashes can be made any length
you like. If you are coming from far away, Tina can take your order on Saturday
and have your collar and leash ready on Sunday -- or she can mail them to you.
If you are shopping for someone else and you can't imagine what they would like,
Tina can also do gift certificates.
JANICE KAJANOFF, ZENTEC
DOG COATS. jakaj@comcast.net Many of you
have purchased these sleek, very well made, all weather coats. People buy
Janice's coats 'cause they look VERY sharp, they don't slip around, and they
actually keep your dog warm. Many of us have cute little decorative fleece dog
coats, but these are several levels above that. She also has crate blankets in
navy and burgundy, purple with red lining, tan with brown lining, tan with red
lining, and charcoal grey with red lining. Those come in sizes for 200,300,and
400 size crates. She also has them in a new, extra large 3 ft. x 5 ft.
size.
HELEN JOHNSON, PUPOURRI, HANDMADE BAGS. claypup@comcast.net
I will let Helen describe what she does: " I am selling handmade shopping bags,
messenger/satchel/shoulder-type bags and Christmas gift bags. Pick your bag and
I'll take it home and paint your dog on it (flying over a jump, racing through
weaves, or just being adorable!) Please bring a photo for me to borrow or
e-mail one from home. I will take special orders for type and color of bag. I
will also have cute dog print bags and pre-painted breeds available. Have a
special need, like a knitting or sewing or gear bag? I'll be happy to work with
you. If all I need to do is paint your dog, it'll be a quick turnaround, but
even custom bags should be finished and mailed to you in plenty of time for
Christmas." (Let me just add that I suspect she can paint other things
besides dogs, if you have some non-dog people on your gift list.)
PAULETTE PETRYK, MACHINE
EMBROIDERED ITEMS. ppetryk@hotmail.com
Paulette has been working like a mad Aussie on a touch and go course machine
embroidering t-shirts, fleece vests, doggie Christmas stockings, agility bags,
throw blankets, dog breed towels, and pot holders with various designs. PLUS --
Paulette always brings her special order book. If you can't find the
right combination of size, color, and design, you can special order what you
need. For your non-dog person gift needs -- consider that Paulette can write
anything (names, slogans, company names, whatever) with her machine. Also, she
can do some non-dog pictures. A custom vest or other item makes a VERY special,
though inexpensive, gift. Paulette's oldest daughter, Emily, also does beadwork
bracelets in peyote stitch.
ELAINE SPERRY, TOYS AND TREATS. kritter714@aol.com
Elaine has good selection of handmade fur, faux fur, and mesh tug toys. She
also has her famous, homemade liver, salmon, tuna, and (possibly) other flavor
dog treats. (Dogs will KILL for these treats -- and they are incredibly
inexpensive.) She also has some special Christmas collars, some crate pads
and blankets, and -- she didn't forget that PEOPLE come to these trials -- hats
and ear warmers for handlers. Elaine has just started a new thing that I think
EVERYONE will be excited about -- Elaine repairs soft crates!!!!!!! Quick! Go
find that $115 soft crate that the new puppy tore the mesh door out of on the
very first day! Elaine can replace zippers, mesh, and fabric panels (although
the color on those may not match exactly). She said that she can pick up crates
in need of repair at the trial and make arrangements to get them back to you
later. (Beats leaving that expensive crate moldering in the garage, doesn't
it?)
JEANNE EMMONS, FUN DOG STUFF. pookkabear@hotmail.com
Jeanne carries a wide assortment of sturdy toys as well as treats and dog
gravies (all Aussie tested for durability and taste). Additionally, she makes
fleece pull in a variety of sizes and shapes as well as obedience tabs sized to
fit the dog and the handler.
HEATHER BRUCE.
abi8@msn.com Heather often has dog
foodstuff--treats and food as well as a limited selection of "original
design, excellent quality, 100% cotton Beauty of the Beasts t-shirts." For the
full line you may visit
www.beautyofthebeasts.com. Heather also occasionally has handmade
watercolor cards (both originals and copies) and fun agility buttons.
CHARITIES: this list is only meant as a way for you to contact some of the
charities that directly benefit from fund raising at agility trials. Please feel
free to contact them with questions.
The Budkis Charbonneau Foundation
http://www.budkischarbonneaufund.com/about_fund.html is named for
Budkis, a bulldog who belonged to the Charbonneau family of Renton. Budkis
passed away in 2001, but his foundation keeps his memory fresh. The Budkis
Charbonneau Foundation provides emergency veterinary care for animals belonging
to senior citizens on fixed incomes.
The Doney Memorial Clinic is a free veterinary clinic founded some years
ago by Dr. Bud Doney. It offers free medical care for animals belonging to
homeless people. The Doney Clinic has no building and no website so you must
contact them when they are on site, basement of the Union Gospel Mission in
Pioneer Square, the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. When the
Doney Clinic is open in the basement of Union Gospel Mission, they also open a
"free store", upstairs in the meeting room. This store is stocked with new and
gently used donations of pet supplies. What would they like? Collars, leashes,
and harnesses are popular. Cat toys and scratch posts are good. SMALL cat
and dog carriers make good homes for animals on the street. (big carriers are
too hard to carry around or for the Clinic people to store.) All sorts of
brushes and grooming items along with food and water dishes are popular ---
especially unbreakable ones. Blankets, crate pads, and dog beds . Dog food, cat
food, and treats are endlessly in demand.
